Welcome to Swampscott Scouting,
the website for Cub Scout Pack 55 and Boy Scout Troop 53.
The Cub Scouts are for boys ages 6-10 years old interested in hiking, camping, crafts (rocket building & launch, Pinewood Derby car building & race, etc.), sports and community service. All scouting activities focus on developing character, citizenship and physical fitness.
The Boy Scouts serve boys between the ages of 11 and 17 with interests in all-weather camping, hiking, backpacking, fishing, rock climbing, canoeing, whitewater rafting, community service, etc. while teaching the program's tenets of character, citizenship and personal fitness.
The Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts are not affiliated with a particular religion and are both members of the Yankee Clipper Council. For more information, visit www.yccbsa.org or come to an event.
Interested boys and their parents are welcome to visit any of the scout meetings which are held when there is school.
Pack 55 typically meets 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on the last Thursday of the month at First Church.
Troop 53 meets weekly from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. Thursdays at St. John's.
