the website for Cub Scout Pack 55 and Scouts, BSA Troop 53.


Cub Scouts
The Cub Scouts are for boys and girls ages 6-10 years old interested in hiking, camping, crafts (rocket building & launch, Pinewood Derby car building & race, etc.), sports and community service. All scouting activities focus on developing character, citizenship and physical fitness.  

Scouts, BSA
The Scouts, BSA program serves boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 17 with interests in all-weather camping, hiking, backpacking, fishing, rock climbing, canoeing, whitewater rafting, community service, etc. while teaching the program's tenets of character, citizenship and personal fitness.

The Cub Scouts and Scouts, BSA are not affiliated with a particular religion and are both members of the Spirit of Adventure Council. For more information you can visit

Interested youth and their parents are welcome to visit any of the scout meetings which are held when there is school. 
Pack 55 typically meets 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on the last Thursday of the month at First Church.
Troop 53 currently meets weekly on Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. in the St. John's Church basement..
